This Australian slouch hat features a 4th generation rising sun pin which was issued late mid century. The puggaree has 7 pleats. The inner band has no maker marks or size. The leather band is brittle so to protect the hat, I am not going to force it to look underneath. The leather chin strap is in tact. There's no size markings, but it is on the smaller side. I included measurements in the pictures. I have an average sized head for a lady and it is too small for me.
This hat was most likely a civilian hat sold at a supply store. It is in great condition. As mentioned, the inner band is brittle but is not torn.
